CUAAV presented its second public talk on 30th April 2011 at Mount Street Neighbourhood House, Glen Waverly. The talk was delivered by Prof. J N O Fernando, former chemistry professor at University of Colombo and former Dean of Science at Open University, Sri Lanka on “Higher Education in Sri Lanka –Then and Now”. During the talk, Prof. Fernando reflected over five decades of his experience in higher education in Sri Lanka.

Past students and colleagues of Prof. Fernando were delighted to meet him again after a very long time. After the event, CUAAV committee had dinner with Prof. Fernando.
